Over the Chessboard strives to encourage everyone to believe that they are smart enough to play and improve at chess. We use chess as a tool to promote education and respect. We especially focus on girls since they currently represent only 10% of the tournament players.

Play Chess!
Confidence over the chessboard can go a long way and can help build the skills needed to compete and succeed in life.
Chess has been proven to improve academic scores in all areas (math, reading, social). See what professionals are saying. Read studies here.
Chess for everyone!
