Cooks Take the Cake

Mt Mourne IB school wins first place at the End-of-Year Championship in Davidson this past weekend! Carson Cook took first in the Advanced section, winning a plaque, and Paige Cook won first in the Intermediate. Eli Barsoum, a home-schooled kindergartner won first place in the beginner section.

Thanks to everyone who participated, parents for supporting chess for your kids, and Lake Norman Christian School for hosting! It was a great pleasure to see so many middle school students playing competitively.
